meetup
Last night was the first Drupal meetup of 2011. We got off to a great start with around 50 people attending over the course of the night. We've been organising the regular meetups every month since September 2009, and they've gone from strength to strength.
The largest Drupal, beer and chat event in London was a tremendous success. We had around 130 people turn up including Dries, the founder of the Drupal project. Dries did a 45 minute Q&A session, talking on a wide range of issues from the imminent release of Drupal 7 to how the future of Drupal could be affected by the uncertain future of MySQL.
The second Drupal meet up went swimmingly and there was a good turn out of around 40 people over the course of the night. Again, we had a good mix of Drupal developers, people with personal projects and the Drupal curious. The next meetup is scheduled for end of November.
The first London Drupal meetup of 2010 was a great success. We had around 60 people come down to the Square Pig and spent a good few hours talking shop. There was the usual mix of Drupal old hands, agency folk, developers and business/tech people.
The next event will be February 22nd, to find out more information, visit our meetup page.
The last Drupal meet up for 2009 was a great success. We had around 50 people come along over the course of the evening. As usual we had a great mix of people attending, freelancers, agency owners, business people and even a couple of artists.
